Giants’ Tommy DeVito hilariously recreates ‘Goodfellas’ scene

Tommy DeVito won’t be appearing in director Martin Scorsese’s next film, but the Giants quarterback sensation had a little fun at the NFL Honors Awards in Las Vegas on Thursday night.

DeVito had a “Goodfellas” moment when comedian and award show host Keegan-Michael Key came out of a commercial break, doing his best Joe Pesci impression.

Key said the comedian was “really funny how things worked out” when DeVito was having a dramatic and surprising season with his hometown Giants, including leading the team to three straight wins.

The pair then reenacted one of the most memorable scenes from Scorsese’s 1990 blockbuster with Pesci and Ray Liotta.

“Funny? It’s funny, right? Like I’m a clown? I’ll entertain you, okay?” DeVito said from his seat, wearing a navy blue pinstripe suit, white shirt and gold chain.

The pair continued to reenact their famous scenes, much to the delight of the crowd at the awards ceremony in Las Vegas.

DeVito wasn’t the only part of the night in the spotlight.

The New Jersey native brought home this year’s celebration with an Italian hand gesture that became a cultural sensation late in the NFL season.

DeVito received the award for “Celebrating Italian Tradition in Week 12.”

DeVito is in his first NFL offseason after a whirlwind 2023 season, but he said he had talked with Daniel Jones and Tyrod Taylor about how to proceed with the offseason ahead of the Giants’ season finale in January. Ta.

“Like how long to rest after pitching,” he said. “I used to always take time off, but now it’s your job. In college, it’s more structured. Now, until OTAs, I’m literally going to be on my own. I need to make a plan, and it’s my job.” That’s what I learned from my seniors.”
