New Girl Scout Cookies for 2026 Season

Girl Scouts are facing some challenges as they prepare for a potentially tough economic climate.

Recently, Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) unveiled an exciting new cookie for the 2026 season. Dubbed ExploreMores, this sandwich cookie draws inspiration from rocky road ice cream, featuring chocolate, marshmallows, and a toasted almond-style cream.

In a press release, it was stated that “ExploreMores reflects the spirit of exploration at the heart of all Girl Scouts.”

These new cookies will be available online early next year and at local booths, alongside popular choices like Thin Mints.

Fans can also look forward to flavors such as Adventure Full, Caramel Chocolate Chips, Samoa (or Caramel Delites), Do-si-dos (or Peanut Butter Sandwich), Lemonade, Lemon Ups, Tagalongs (or Peanut Butter Patties), Toffee Tastic, and Trefoils.

The introduction of ExploreMores comes as the beloved cookies Girl Scout S’mores and Toast-Yay have been retired after the end of the 2025 season. S’mores, which debuted in 2017, was a crunchy graham sandwich cookie filled with chocolate and marshmallow. Toast-Yay, launched in 2021, was notable for its icing and French toast flavor.

Interestingly, sales dropped to just 1.1 million boxes for Girl Scouts in Greater New York, down from 1.2 million the previous year. This decline marks the lowest regional sales since 2013-2014 after a challenging 2024-2025 season.

Despite these hurdles, GSUSA remains committed to empowering young girls to explore “a world of possibilities” and develop skills such as goal-setting, decision-making, money management, and business ethics.

A press release emphasized that “every time a box of cookies is sold, consumers support Girl Scouts who learn, grow, and thrive through all kinds of life experiences.” It’s worth noting that all proceeds from cookie sales stay local, supporting Girl Scout councils and military initiatives throughout the year, funding transformative programs and experiences.
