Gisele Bündchen mourns the death of ‘angel’ mom Vania Nonnenmacher

Gisele Bündchen is mourning the death of her beloved mother Vania Nonnenmacher.

“Dear mom, it hurts to think that I won’t be able to hold you anymore, but I know that you will always be watching over us,” the supermodel emotionally began. instagram tribute on tuesday.

“You were an angel on earth and always helped those around you. I’m so grateful to be your daughter and to have learned from you.”

Bundchen praised her mother for being “the ultimate example of love, strength, compassion, courage and grace” and said she would “treasure forever the beautiful memories” they shared.

“You will live on forever in the many lives you touched. Thank you for giving me five of my best friends for life,” she continued, referring to her siblings.

The former Victoria’s Secret Angel, 43, wrote the message alongside a photo of Nonnenmacher spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren on a merry-go-round.

Mr. Nonnenmacher passed away Sunday after a battle with cancer. She was 75 years old.

brazil outlet GZH reported She had been admitted to Moinhos de Vento Hospital in Porto Alegre, Brazil, for treatment.

Nonnenmacher was the mother of six daughters: Rafaela, Graziella, Gabriella, Raquel, Gisele, and her twin sister Patricia.

Bundchen opened up about having “the best childhood in the world” in her 2018 memoir, “Lessons: The Path to a Meaningful Life.”
