World Youth Mission Day Set for This Weekend
This weekend, the youth organization Dare to Share will host its annual World Youth Mission Day, aimed at inspiring young people to share the gospel.
The event, which used to be called Dare 2 Share LIVE, has taken place every year since 2017. It has successfully mobilized over 182,000 teenagers to spread the gospel and has fostered more than 511,000 conversations globally across 110 countries.
For this year, there are 1,120 groups signed up for the event on Saturday, November 8, with the potential for 83,149 participants. “This is the largest youth population in history,” said Jason Lamb, President of Dare to Share. “If we can reach even a few of them with our faith, the ripple effects could truly change the world. Our goal is straightforward: Every teenager, everywhere, will hear the gospel from a friend.”
The ministry has noted that this year’s event will provide video materials in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, and will be facilitated by local youth leaders, empowering them to share their faith more effectively.
A special focus will be on a method called “Speak in Six Words,” which uses the word “Gospel” as an acronym to guide conversations about faith:
- G – God created us to be with Him.
- O – Our sin separates us from God.
- S – Sin cannot be removed by good deeds.
- P – Pay the price for sin; Jesus died and rose again.
- E – Anyone who trusts in God has eternal life.
- L – Life with Jesus starts now and continues forever.
Pastor Eric Totanez, a speaker for Dare to Share from the Philippines, believes this approach helps young individuals communicate the gospel clearly. “Once upon a time, I was lost and would have faced hell without Christ,” he shared. “Now, I have eternal life, and that’s the hope we want every young person in the world to have.”
Dare to Share was founded in 1991 by Greg Stier with the mission of empowering teens to share their faith.
