Walmart has come under fire on social media after releasing its “Pride Always” collection ahead of June, which is what society considers “Pride Month,” with shoppers expressing disappointment, annoyance and disgust.
“More than just a slogan, #PrideAlways is a reminder to lead with love,” Walmart wrote in the caption of the post, which also featured videos of creators from this year’s collection talking about their favorite pieces of LGBTQIA2S+ apparel from the company.
“Sick of this nonsense. If anyone should be honored for a month it should be for soldiers, nurses and police officers. These are the people who are actually making a difference in this world,” wrote one Instagram user.
“Why should we care about other people’s sexual orientation?” asked another, while another concluded that Walmart “failed to learn” from the mistakes of Target and Bud Light.

“I hate all of this because whatever Walmart or pride you may have, you glorify everything in this world except what God created from the beginning – family, married men and their children!,” another user wrote, expressing disgust that the core family unit never seems to be celebrated.
“Why not have a special month dedicated to real families???” the user continued, questioning why the LGBTQ agenda must be “celebrated” for an entire month.
“Is Walmart woke? When are they going to start selling Palestinian flags and abortion kits? This is ridiculous,” lamented another.
“Disgusting. Almost all of this will end up in the sale section,” said another, as the post was inundated with negative comments.
“Wow Walmart. Not celebrating veterans,” one person said, while another called the collection “nonsense.”
“No one needs this stuff for a month,” they say, while another person writes, “Why is this showing up on my feed? [be] I was forced to accept your lifestyle.”
“A whole month. [sic] “So repressed,” another scoffed.

The backlash comes ahead of June, when many retailers, and the Biden administration, will try to force a celebration of LGBTQIA2S+ lifestyles. Some retailers, such as Target, are reportedly pulling out this year, but Walmart and others are not.
