‘Go back to your seats!’ Kansas City Chiefs player catches child who fell​ out of the stands in unbelievable fan video

A Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman catches a child who fell from the stands at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The horrifying scene then happened 30-27 Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers was won while the Chiefs were off the field.

As Chiefs players like Carson Steele and Travis Kelce entered the player tunnel, several young fans leaned over the railing to get attention.

But one young fan wearing a Nick Bolton jersey was held back by a security guard wearing a Bank of America Stadium jacket. When the security guard turned his back, a young fan, probably around 10 to 12 years old, fell head first through a gap in the railing and onto the ground and other equipment.

That's when defensive tackle Tershawn Wharton saw the child fall. rushed forward This is to prevent you from landing on your head after falling from a height of about 10 feet.

“Please return to your seats!” a security guard yelled as the child was being helped out. “Everyone go back to your seats, this kid just fell!”

When security turned away again, the boy was helped back into the stands by Wharton as fans yelled for security to save the boy.

“I grabbed his back right away.”

Wharton gave his take on the incident the following Tuesday in “.pat mcafee show. ”

In a clip uploaded to ×McAfee asked the defensive tackle what he was thinking during the ordeal.

“Didn't you think about it? Was it just a natural reaction?” the host began.

“Well, I guess that was a natural reaction,” Wharton replied. “Usually when I step away from the game, [I] Try throwing a glove into the crowd. And I think you heard my name a little bit. And when I heard my name I saw [the boy] It's coming down. ”

It was clearly a bad day for stadium security, as Wharton later noted that there were more security guards who didn't seem to know what they were doing.

“They were looking at us. But I just, kind of, needed to push.” [the boy] I went into the stands a little bit so he wouldn't hit me too hard. ”

Host McAfee then comically asked players what kind of prey they took when rescuing a child.

“So, what was it? Did you grab it with one hand, or did you grab it by his shirt or shoulder or something? Honestly, how did you deal with it?”

“I kind of grabbed him on the back,” Wharton explained, grabbing the back of his shirt near the collar.

The 26-year-old added that he guided the child to the stands on the ground floor to avoid hitting the floor.

Wharton said he is now hoping to find the unidentified child and have him attend another Chiefs game.

“I reached out to him, got him in the game, and, you know, [to] If possible, could you have thought about it a little more with him? ”
