The family of Jocelyn Nungaray, a 12-year-old Texas girl who was allegedly strangled to death by two Venezuelan migrants and thrown into a creek, exceeded their initial donation goal in just a few hours.

Houston Mayor John Whitmire Announced At a public memorial on Friday, local business owner and philanthropist Jim McIngvale announced he would cover all funeral expenses, KHOU 11 reported.
“She was a goofball, she had her own personality,” Jocelyn’s mother, Alexis Nungarei, said at the memorial. “She was one of a kind. She was a trendsetter. She loved animals.”
“I was looking forward to seeing how beautiful she would become,” the grieving mother added.
