Golden Retriever Refuses to Eat His Breakfast Without Cheese Like the King He Is

Some pups are bougie and they make no apologies for it. Why should they? They’re the royalty and we’re the peasants who care for them! Ask Rocky the Golden Retriever who insists Mom grate fresh Parmesan choose onto his food before he even thinks about tasting it!

Rocky knows once you go cheese, you can’t go back, so this feels right. Watch as this good boy patiently waits for his cheesy feast!

You can’t blame the guy for having a good palette. The video shared by @rockyrhodethegolden may be the very definition of the “I’m just a baby” trend and I’m not mad about it. How could you resist that sweet face or those happy, full-belly rolls afterward? If a little cheese makes his meal a little more enjoyable, go for it!

When Rocky’s not salivating over a pile of parm, he loves being the star of Dad’s world and posing for the most adorable videos ever. This cheesy clip, however, has the internet fully on Rocky’s side. Because, cheese.

“I didn’t hear him say ‘when…'” one person joked. “Gotta pay that cheese tax,” another wrote. “Rocky: ‘my compliments to the chef,’” another added.

I don’t know about you but I’d like to come back as Rocky in my next life! What a king!

Ways to Spoil Your Pup Through Food

There’s no shortage of ways to spice up mealtime for your dog. With so many products on the market like toppers, raw and fresh food options, and recipes that incorporate fruits and vegetables, it’s easier than ever to spoil our favorite pets.

Among some of Dogster’s vet-approved options to improve your dog’s dry food, wet food tops the list, but there are many other options, too. I’ve recently switched my two very picky pups from all dry food to a mixture of Nulo treats and supplements, Spot & Tango fresh food, Maev raw food, and a variety of toppers.

And though those have worked wonders for my pups, you likely have other less expensive options already, such as pumpkin puree, peanut butter, cooked chicken or beef, cheese (of course), and even just a little low or no-sodium broth as a healthy topper to entice your dog to scarf down their dry food.

It doesn’t take much to make your fur baby feel loved and spoiled at each and every meal. Look at Rocky! That little dusting of cheese took his life from “pretty great” to “AMAZING!”
