The bright lights of Hollywood are fading fast for Goldie Hawn, and she’s ready to get away.
Horn, 78, admitted that her Los Angeles home was “robbed once” while she was out to dinner for a few hours with Kurt Russell, her partner of more than 40 years.
“If we can’t live in LA, where are we going to live? We both decided on Palm Desert because it’s so safe,” Horn recalled of their dream home base during an appearance on the SiriusXM podcast. “Let’s talk to Kelly Ripa off camera.””
“LA is a terrible place, you know? Because I got robbed there once.”

The Oscar-winning actress explained that she and Kurt were “out for about two hours and 20 minutes,” after which they returned to their home, which appeared to be normal.
“We went back in and we went into the house. I went up the stairs and into the closet. I panicked,” Horn said. “They had gotten into our bedroom, into the closet, off the balcony.”

Haun added: “They completely destroyed my door. My door was a secure door. They were very sophisticated and they stole a lot of my belongings.”
Despite the shocking incident, the First Wives Club star tried to put the incident behind her and was convinced the robbery was a one-off incident.

“So I thought, ‘Oh, yeah, that’s it,'” she said. “It must be. It’s never going to happen again.”
“They completely destroyed my door. My door is a secure door. They were very sophisticated and they stole a lot of my belongings.”
Four months later, Horn was home alone with her dog when she heard a startling noise coming from another room.
“I heard a loud noise upstairs. I was alone, Kurt wasn’t there. I thought, ‘What is this?'” she said.

“It was like, was that a bang? Did someone jump somewhere? And then I ended up finding out the next day that they had been trying to get into my bedroom while I was in the house.”

“That’s horrifying,” Ripa said, to which Horn responded, “I can’t believe it. What is going on here?”
Ripa was asked if any further steps had been taken following the break-in.
“I’ve always had security there, especially when I’m alone,” Horn said. “Whenever there’s no security there’s always a security guard. We have a good relationship with the security guards.”

Year-end crime statistics released by the Los Angeles Police Department in January showed property crimes increased 3.5 percent.

“My number one job is to keep Angelenos safe,” said Mayor Karen Bass. “In my first year in office, we’ve taken emergency steps to address the LAPD’s hiring and retention crisis and invested in proven, community-led efforts to fight crime. There is still much work to be done, and many Angelenos do not feel safe. Together, we will continue our comprehensive approach to public safety.”
Representatives for Haun and Russell did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

The couple began dating in 1983 and celebrated their 41st anniversary together on Valentine’s Day this year.
