For those attending the New Jersey State Police event, the drunk driving simulation was all too real.
Authorities said Wednesday that a golf cart being used to demonstrate the dangers of drunk driving at a “National Night Out” community event at Fox Park in Wildwood on the Jersey Shore lost control and struck five people, all of whom were taken to the hospital.
Police said a golf cart carrying teenagers and officers set off from a course surrounded by orange cones.

The five people attacked were taken to Cape Regional Medical Center. Three were treated and released, but two remained hospitalized as of Wednesday.
