Three-time PGA Tour winner Chris DiMarco recently substandard Podcast with Colt Knost and Drew Stoltz.
DiMarco expressed displeasure on the show about the amount of money PGA Tour Champions players earn, calling it a “joke.”
“We’re hoping LIV will buy the Champions Tour,” DiMarco said with a laugh.
“Let’s play for a little bit of real money here. I mean, we’re getting $2 million and this is kind of a joke. Last week we had like seven people from TPC. [Sawgrass] It generated more money than our wallets. ”
With the arrival of LIV, fans were fed up with the amount of money being poured into the sport.

Most people would dream of earning that kind of money throughout their career. And he succeeded in hitting the golf ball. BFD. Sorry, but greed seems to be king in top-level professional golf right now, and at some point the average golfer will get tired of it and quit.

I wish I could make a living just playing golf for just $2 million a year. Payments should probably have more to do with ratings and TV revenue. LIV forced his PGA Tour to increase its dividend. Perhaps the PGA Tour will require him to start the LIV Champions Tour.

As the last fan pointed out, the audience numbers for the Champions Tour are much smaller. This means significantly less advertising revenue and less money distributed to players. It’s really simple.
It’s unclear whether DiMarco was serious about the LIV aspect. But he sounds bitter about the size of his purse on the senior circuit. But that just makes you look greedy and tone-deaf.
Golf influencer Paige Spiranac also threw DiMarco under the bus on social media, making the same point that many fans are feeling. The debate over golfers and money has become an issue that could negatively impact the sport’s overall bottom line unless something changes.
