Welcome to Playing Through’s new morning ritual: Golf Talk Today.
Each morning on “Golf Talk Today,” our staff discusses various aspects of the PGA Tour, LIV Golf and other professional golf tournaments.
Saturday marks the start of the PGA Tour’s final signature event, the Travelers Championship, with LIV Golf kicking off the second round in Music City.
Tom Kim leads Collin Morikawa, Akshay Bhatia and Scottie Scheffler by two strokes. It’s a birdie fest at TPC River Highlands, so expect as many birdies on travel day as there were on Friday.
Shane Lowry and Robert McIntyre shot eight-under 62 on Friday to rocket up the leaderboard, with the Irishman rising 27 places and the Scotsman 35.
There are no cut lines on the PGA Tour or LIV Golf this week, so take a look at the tee times for the third round of the Travelers Championship and the LIV Golf leaderboard.

LIV Golf Nashville Update
It was the first time the Saudi Arabia-sponsored tour had come to Nashville, and crowds flocked to the Grove.
Sergio Garcia’s Fireballs GC led the team with a total of 14 under par, while Crushers GC was second with a score of 10 under par.
Abraham Ansell shot a bogey-free 64 on Friday to move into the one-stroke lead over Tyrrell Hatton, who finished with a 6-under 66.
U.S. Open champion Bryson DeChambeau continues to dazzle the crowds, except for Brooks Koepka’s son, Crew. DeChambeau shot a 4-under 67 at The Grove to take the lead by three strokes. He’s tied for fourth with three other players. His substitute teammate, John Catlin, shot a 5-under 68 to post the best score at Crusher GC.
DeChambeau may have been a little tired from last week, but that didn’t stop him from entertaining the crowd. He put on a show on the par-3 15th, a party hole, and the fans loved it.
