- open Google Play Store Apps on Android
- search for File by Google

How to find photos and files faster and easier with smart search
The smart search feature is especially helpful if you can't remember the exact file name, but you can remember an image or similar word in the document or photo you're looking for.
Instead of spending hours scrolling through photos you know you took but can't remember when or where, you can simply enter keywords or objects that might be in the photo or file you're looking for. You can find photos in .
For example, if you remember what you were wearing on a particular occasion, but can't remember where the photo was, use Smart Search to find the company name (such as NIKE) on the T-shirt you were wearing in the photo. How long does it take for the device to learn the file?
Smart search has some limitations. According to the help page, it takes several days for it to “learn” the files on your device and appear in search results. This means that it may take several days for newly downloaded or added files to be included in search results. The longer a file exists on your device, the more likely it is that a search will accurately show the item.
How to check if Smart Search is available on Android
Smart Search is not available to all users. To check if Smart Search is available on Android, follow these steps:
- open file app on your Android
- Tap search icon in the upper right corner
- If you see a message similar to the following “Smart Search is here” Then you will be able to access that feature.You can tap “learn more” To learn more about how to use
- If you don't see the message, you may need to do the following: hang on Until the feature is enabled
