GOP congressman claims a 'crazy person' forced him off the road while he was commuting.

Ohio Republican Rep. Max Miller reported an alarming encounter on Thursday, stating he was threatened by a man waving a Palestinian flag while driving. According to Miller, this individual made death threats against him and his family.

The incident was shared in a video on social media platforms. In his remarks, Miller expressed a commitment to seek accountability, asserting, “We should not face this blatant anti-Semitic violence.”

He described the interaction as he drove to work, mentioning that some “confused” individuals were on a corner, trying to grab his attention. They displayed the Palestinian flag while seemingly threatening him and his family, alongside remarks about Israel.

Miller did not clarify the specifics of the threats. However, he indicated that he filed police reports with both local law enforcement and the U.S. Capitol Police.

In the video, he stated, “If you have an issue, bring it to our office. But trying to force me off the road is another matter.” He asserted that authorities would be visiting the alleged perpetrator, emphasizing the severity of the situation.

The Rocky River Police Department acknowledged that Miller planned to reach out to them about the road rage incident and had scheduled a visit to submit a written statement. They noted they would not delay communication with lawmakers in the morning.

Capitol Police were also informed and will oversee the investigation. Attempts to get comments from them were made.

In response to the situation, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, along with Minority Whip Catherine Clark and Democratic Caucus Chair Pete Aguilar, issued a condemnation of the incident. They expressed gratitude for Miller’s safety and highlighted the troubling rise in political violence, stating this moment requires decisive actions from Congress to protect all its members.
