Representative Jamie Ruskin (D-MD) claimed on Thursday that Republicans have become “corrupted” in CNN's “The Situation Room.”
“Anyone left in the ambiguous hemisphere of Trump's world who believes in the rule of law will not continue as they put corruption first. They at this point The corrupt party of the institution. You know, they wiped out the inspector generals. They illegally fired 17 people without notifying Congress. They were in anti-corruption fighters of each agency and department. We must come to us 30 days before we have to specifically explain the rationale for driving away a certain inspector general. So how Elon Musk finds corruption? Despite all of their fake rhetoric about it, they're wiping out the entire anti-corruption fighter infrastructure.”
He continued. “It's all about partisan weaponization, and they say that everyone in the government's administrative department, including members of independent committees and agencies, such as the Federal Election Commission and the National Labor Relations Commission, is working directly for Donald. It fits the unified enforcement theory of Trump and he can fire them for the reasons he wants. They must take political order for him.”
Ruskin added: “This administration stands for corruption. And what Elon Musk does in Washington is to spread corruption. He's not the enemy of corruption. He's an agent of corruption.”
