MILWAUKEE — Republican Rep. Darrell Issa predicted what would be heard in his foreign policy speech at the Republican National Convention on Wednesday night, outlining what a second term for President Trump would mean for the world.
““When you think about Trump’s foreign policy, Russia hasn’t made a single move in his administration since he took Crimea under his predecessor, Obama,” Issa, a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, told Fox News Digital on Wednesday before taking to the stage with Republican lawmakers in Milwaukee to talk foreign policy.
“I think about the fact that China was not as aggressive with Taiwan or the Philippines as it is today, and was not literally forcibly taking the fish out of the water. I think about the fact that the Houthis and Iran were not active and were not literally disrupting global trade. All of this has happened over the past three and a half years under a weak Biden administration and would not, did not and will not happen under a Trump administration.”
“Make America Strong Again” will be the theme of the third day of the convention, with speakers outlining Trump’s foreign policy and refuting Biden’s record.

“From the destruction of our southern border to failing to withdraw from Afghanistan, to the war between Hamas and Israel, to supporting the terrorist regime in Iran, Biden has repeatedly made the wrong moves on the world stage. Under President Trump’s vision, America will be strong and secure again, and a Biden-Harris Administration will put an end to weakness. President Donald J. Trump will secure our borders, contain the threats from China and Iran, and restore America’s rightful place on the world stage.”

“Under President Trump, Iran was exporting less than 200,000 barrels of oil a day,” Issa said. “Today they’re exporting more than 2 million barrels a day. For that amount of money, surely Iran would try to assassinate the next president.”
Issa told Fox News Digital that one of the key aspects of foreign policy that Republicans must account for is the importance of demonstrating “strength” to other countries.

Biden, who has faced calls from within his own party to drop out of the presidential race, has often touted his foreign policy record in recent weeks, even as a recent Fox News poll showed Trump holding a 10-point lead among voters on foreign policy.

Michael Walz, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, former Acting Director of National Intelligence Rick Grenell, Gold Star family members Alicia Lopez and Herman Lopez, Cheryl Jules and Christy Shamblin, and Donald Trump Jr.
