GOP lawmakers back bill to lock illegal aliens out of path to citizenship

House Republicans support legislation that would prevent illegal foreigners from seeking a path to citizenship.

Rep. Cory Mills (R-Fla.) It was introduced Citizenship for Alien Invaders will act on Thursday. This “prohibits immigration, prohibits immigration of “nationality” and prohibits illegal entry into the United States of lawful citizenship.”

“The nearly 20 million people living here illegally have no citizenship.”

If passed, Mills' bill would amend existing immigration and nationality laws. state“Notwithstanding other provisions of the Immigration Act, aliens who illegally enter the United States will not qualify for naturalization.”

“We've seen more than 10 million encounters at our border under the Biden administration, a crisis exacerbated by a reckless catch-and-release policy that allowed criminals who broke our laws to stay in the United States,” Mills said.

“President Trump has made it clear that anyone trying to illegally undermine, exploit or detour the immigration system is a criminal,” he continued. “The Alien Aggressor Citizenship Act ensures that these offenders do not recognize U.S. citizenship, and that privilege is reserved for those who respect our law.”

The proposed law already has several co-sponsors, including Republicans Josh Bretzin (Oklahoma), Andy Harris (MD.) and Anna Paulina Luna (FLA.).

Brecheen explained that the bill would prevent illegal immigrants from being “rewarded by citizenship after breaking our laws.”

“America is a country of law. If we allow these laws to be overturned by illegal aliens who have no constitutional rights here in the first place, we will stop becoming a nation,” he said. “Now is the time to return to common sense policies that restore law and order to America.”

Luna It is listed“Once again, Congress refuses to enforce our immigration laws, complains about it being broken, promises to “correct it for good” in exchange for an amnesty program, and then never actually enforce the law as they promised. ”

“We need to draw a line in the sand for Americans. There can't be citizenship for nearly 20 million people living illegally here,” she added.

Earlier this week, Mills It was introduced Prohibits automatic rights to enter the National Territory Act, which closes loopholes in birthright citizenship.

This bill will also amend INA, addition We guarantee that birthright citizenship is received by language born only to those born to at least one parent who is a US citizen or a legal permanent resident.

Mills pointed out that the proposed law also sought to close the loophole in birthright citizenship, in addition to President Donald Trump's executive order.

“For decades, criminal immigration has exploited loopholes in our immigration system, undermining our country's sovereignty, straining taxpayer resources, and neglecting the rule of law,” Mills said. “By amending the Immigration and Nationality Act, the Parent Law seeks to end abuse and reaffirm the principles of the American citizenship and the Constitutional Republic.”

“Based on President Trump's efforts to protect American sovereignty, this bill ensures that birthright citizenship is reserved for those with legal rights here. It is past time that we regain integrity in our laws and put American citizens first,” he added.

Harris also co-hosted the Mills Parent Act.
