Lockheed Martin Corp.'s senior vice president for government affairs, Shelley O'Neill Stoneman, abruptly resigned Monday night after Breitbart News published the second installment of its wide-ranging investigation.
Her resignation was announced less than an hour into the Trump transition, with the House Armed Services Committee exclusively telling Breitbart News that her political views were too woke and incompatible with the incoming Trump administration. He spoke clearly.
“Shelley O'Neill Stoneman has resigned for personal reasons and is no longer with the company,” a Lockheed spokesperson told Breitbart News.
“As we have in his first term, we look forward to a strong partnership with President Trump, his team, and the new Congress to strengthen our national defense,” the statement said. “We share a determination to achieve peace through strength, and we are committed to building mission-critical defense technologies that our adversaries cannot match.”
Breitbart News asked Lockheed whether it was concerned about Mr. Stoneman's woke opinions and whether it planned to pivot its government affairs department toward the Trump administration.
Stoneman publicly supported a long list of woke agendas regarding X. She supports transgender people serving in the military, said on January 6, 2021, “Insurrection,” and seems to believe that diversity makes the country stronger, but she offered no evidence of that.
