Republican strategist Brad Todd called on CNN for not questioning whether former President Biden has laid the foundations to violate court orders.
“This is not a new reality. Let's rewind the tape. A few years ago, Joe Biden lost his student loan forgiveness plan in the Supreme Court. His quote was, “I'll do nothing.” Stop this.' And he went on to waive $48 billion in student loan debt against the Supreme Court,” said Todd, who was pushed back by CNN host Jim Saito.
Some of the Trump administration's actions, including a freeze on federal funding and banning access to personal data from the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), have been attributed to the Democratic attorney general and several states who have had issues with executive orders. Sciutto asked CNN legal analyst Elliot Williams to respond to Todd's argument with the idea that Biden called the same “talk.”
“Indeed, I give this to the President. He has all the rights to challenge the order. He has all the rights to say that the court is wrong. He has all the rights to say that he is wrong. ,Well, there will be a day when we will not stick to court orders, which is a big problem for me,” Williams replied.
Todd raised Biden's committee, considered expanding the court, and accused the former president and Democrats of attempting to undermine the integrity of the Supreme Court for several years.

CNN contributor Alex Thompson claimed that Trump was “doing something new” when he tried to push for “the limits of the executive order.”
“Joe Biden has put into the Student Loan Act, just as Barack Obama did with the US Waters and Clean Power Plan. The president reached the Supreme Court and promoted enforcement policies to test the limits. It was extraordinary,” he said.
Williams agreed to Todd's argument.
