Gordon Ramsay’s Take on Brooklyn Beckham’s Family Struggles
Gordon Ramsay feels that Brooklyn Beckham is really trying to establish his own identity in his marriage to Nicola Peltz Beckham, which has resulted in a very public fallout with his parents, David and Victoria Beckham.
“It’s tough when you’re smitten, right? Love can make you a bit blind. That’s the saying, after all,” Ramsay shared during an interview with The Sun, promoting his upcoming Netflix series “Being Gordon Ramsay”.
He acknowledged that the situation is quite complicated. “He’s eager to be independent, to forge his own way. I respect that in Brooklyn; it’s admirable. But he should remember his roots. There will come a day when he won’t have his parents around. It’s something to think about,” he pointed out.
Ramsay also noted that Victoria is understandably upset about the ongoing feud within the family. He mentioned that she attended Brooklyn’s wedding in Palm Beach last year, where he claimed she danced “inappropriately” with him.
Despite the family tensions, Ramsay emphasized the strong bond Brooklyn has with him, mentioning that they’ve exchanged messages. “I care about him. He has a good heart,” he said.
Brooklyn, now 26, unfollowed many of his relatives on social media late last year, and he stated he no longer wished to reconcile with his parents.
In a recent statement, Brooklyn accused his mother of taking over his wedding dance with Nicola and claimed that his family had been dishonest and attempted to undermine his relationship with her. Although things seem strained for the Beckham family, Ramsay remains optimistic that David will find a way to reconnect with his eldest son.
From Ramsay’s perspective, he has witnessed the love and care David and Victoria have put into raising their children. “David is a wonderful father. He has always invested a lot in his kids; he has helped Brooklyn through challenges numerous times,” Ramsay explained.
He urged Brooklyn to reflect on the sacrifices his parents made for him. “Time is a healer,” he remarked. Ramsay concluded that he believes Brooklyn will eventually come to appreciate what his parents mean to him, saying, “I think he just needs to take a moment to think about himself and acknowledge where he comes from.”
In a more pointed statement made in January, Brooklyn declared he did not want to reconcile with his family, asserting his desire for independence amidst the ongoing turmoil.
