So, here’s a fun twist: Kelly Rutherford, remembered for her role as Lily van der Woodsen in *Gossip Girl*, is now swapping her Pilates routine for some travel excitement.

The actress recently shared with us that the key to her fitness is to feel effortless. “Honestly, these days, just pushing my luggage around at the airport counts as my workout,” she joked. She’s always loved swimming, saying it’s quite calming and beneficial for both the body and mind. “I was on the swim team in school,” she recalled fondly.

Aside from swimming, she enjoys the outdoors. “In summer, I love playing tennis with my kids and hiking,” she mentioned, adding that chasing after her two small dachshunds keeps her active too. It’s a lifestyle that she deliberately maintains, fueled by her upbringing and family.

Recently, she has taken on new ventures, like partnering with her friend Véronique Gabai to launch a new perfume called “Rose Premiere.” It boasts an elegant blend of mandarin, musk, and romantic floral notes.

Last year, they visited Grasse in France, famous for its exquisite Rose de Mai. It was quite an experience for them, waking up early to hand-pick the delicate roses, which they enjoyed immensely. Rutherford reminisced about spending time with her grandfather, tending to his rose garden during her childhood, tying it back to this new project.

“Staying healthy is essential for my kids,” she explained, noting how children often mirror what their parents do more than what they say. “I tend to take on too much sometimes. So I remind myself not to stress, as I want to set a good example.”

Rutherford has noticed a shift in her perspective as her children grow. “Now, they’re giving me advice! Every generation seems to come with more knowledge, so I think it’s critical to listen to them.” She chuckled at how life can change and how much we can learn from our kids.

While she still feels at home in America, she’s been building a new life in Monaco where her children are based. “I adore it there; it’s beautiful and peaceful,” she expressed. Yet she also enjoys the vibrancy of Paris and how it inspires her.

Reflecting on iconic figures, she mentioned Grace Kelly and how the actress’s legacy still resonates in Monaco today. “I often think about how she raised her children and all that she contributed.” Rutherford fondly recalled an experience with her daughter at a local salon, where she spotted a perfume dedicated to Grace Kelly and thought, “I want to create something like that!”

The late actress has influenced Rutherford’s beauty routine, advocating for a more natural approach. “I prefer clean beauty products now, steering clear of harsh ingredients.”

Despite the glamour associated with her life, she emphasized that her true strength comes from love: “It’s the love for my kids, friends, and the joy from my work. That gives me confidence.” Ultimately, it’s about love—whether for her family, friends, or the new path she’s carving out for herself.
