Riverside County, Calif., Sheriff Chad Bianco breathes a sigh of relief when California's latest gun regulations are blocked, forcing Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) to uphold the law while giving criminals a pass. He suggested that they might target citizens.
On January 7, 2024, Breitbart News reported that California's law expanding gun-free zones for concealed carry permit holders was blocked in a last-minute appeal by the California Rifle and Pistol Association.
Otherwise, there would be many new places where law-abiding permit holders are prohibited from being armed for self-defense.
Sheriff Bianco reacts to new gun regulations being blocked. speak to FOX News Gun control has been part of the “anti-gun ownership” agenda from the beginning.
He then highlighted the difference in how Newsom treats criminals and law-abiding people. “With everything we're doing, the fact that gun rights and ownership are being taken away and the whole (concealed carry) aspect of — where you can carry it and where you can't carry it. It's totally different when you think about what they're doing to criminals.”
Bianco continued, “They have a very pro-crime stance in California and have complied with all the laws for years. Newsom's goal is to close as many prisons as possible and eliminate prosecution. , don't put anyone in state prison. They're blaming law enforcement. They're blaming society. So there's never personal responsibility for someone's criminal acts. It's always It's someone else's fault. And there are very pro-crime policies in Sacramento.”
He suggested that Newsom “needs to abandon his gun policies and his anti-2A policies.” And he needs to focus on California's skyrocketing crime and the quality of life for Californians that is being destroyed by the policies he promotes.“
