Well, Roy, hockey is supposed to be violent.
North Carolina Democratic Governor Roy Cooper took a jab at the New Jersey Devils following Saturday night's loss (5-2) against Cooper's hometown Carolina Hurricanes.
Cooper, a Hurricanes fan, posted on Twitter that he was happy to see the team finish the remainder of the 2024-25 regular season against New Jersey. But not because he was afraid to play them. In the end, his cane won out. But because the devils are committing “such dirty games.” (Related article: The U.S. hockey team almost failed at the World Juniors, but they fought back by brutally defeating Germany)
“Happy to see our @Canes finish the regular season against the @NJDevils,” Cooper wrote. “It was a great win tonight despite some bad hitting. The Devils are too suited for that kind of dirty play.”
In this game, the Devils received five penalties totaling 21 minutes. Meanwhile, the Hurricanes had four penalties worth eight minutes. New Jersey and Carolina both had 41 hits against their opponents.
I'm happy @Canes completed with @NJ Devil For the regular season. We had a great win tonight despite some bad hits. The devil is too good for such dirty play.

I don't know, dude. Call me crazy, but both teams have roughly the same number of penalties and hits, and besides, someone needs to remind (or teach) Mr. Cooper that hockey is a violent sport. . A “savage blow” will occur.
Democrats swear they have no idea what they're talking about when it comes to anything.
