Gov. Wes Moore claims Democrats have abandoned certain regions of the US in the 2024 election.

D-Md. Governor Wes Moore expressed concern that Democrats are neglecting certain regions of the U.S. in preparation for the 2024 election. He reflected on the party’s narrow focus, which he feels could be detrimental.

Moore discussed these issues during a podcast interview with former DNC Chair Jaime Harrison. At one point, Harrison prompted Moore about the role of former Vice President Kamala Harris in the campaign, questioning if a different approach might be necessary.

“I mean, it’s tough to feel like the country’s heading in the wrong direction. It’s just… complicated,” Moore noted. He elaborated that Democrats have, in his view, ceased competing or advocating effectively in various areas, citing a shift in philosophy.

Harrison concurred with Moore’s assessment, agreeing that the party has, in many ways, given up on the grassroots level.

In a separate conversation with Fox News’ Bret Baier, Moore mentioned that he’s not considering a presidential run in 2028, highlighting a disconnect in the party’s focus: “It seems no one talking about 2028 is really taking 2025 seriously.”

Moore also reflected on how key Democratic voters seem to be overlooked. “People are wondering, ‘What happened to the party?’ There’s a real concern about who’s actually in the fight,” he said.

In recent discussions, other Democratic leaders, like Governor Tim Waltz, have echoed Moore’s sentiments, questioning why the party appears to shy away from advocating for success in various business sectors, emphasizing the need for a balanced narrative that doesn’t dismiss the positive role many businesses play.
