Johnson said Wednesday that Democrats and some Republicans are not listening to the American people, adding:
They are crying out for the Biden administration to secure the border. This is not a Republican issue. It’s each person’s problem and everyone knows it.
We all know stories of children being poisoned with fentanyl.City [are] overwhelmed by the rapid increase in immigration. But, of course, more must be done to secure the border and what the Senate announced this week [the $95 billion aid bill] It is silent on the issue.
Chairman Johnson: “The Republican-led House has blocked or forced passage of a foreign aid bill that most Republican senators oppose and that does nothing to protect our nation’s borders.” It’s not going to happen.
