First appearance on Fox: Sen. Lindsey Graham, R.S.C., ranking member of the Senate Judiciary, weighed in on the Department of Justice and Homeland Security’s response to an illegal immigrant who attacked a New York City police officer who was released without bail. We are seeking answers from the Ministry of Security.
“I was saddened but not surprised to hear of the latest outcome of President Biden’s illegal immigration crisis,” Graham wrote in a letter to Attorney General Merrick. A police officer was violently assaulted by more than a dozen immigrants.” Garland and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas asked what their respective agencies would do in response to the “brazen attack.”
“Will the aliens responsible for this attack be deported?” Graham asked. “If so, when? If not, why not?”

Ministry of Justice And DHS did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment on the letter. McColkas faces a possible impeachment vote in the House this week after the House Homeland Security Committee passed a resolution to impeach him.
Last weekend, two New York City police officers were attacked by at least seven illegal immigrants near Times Square. The suspects were released without bail after their arrest.
Surveillance footage released by the New York Police Department shows NYPD officers and lieutenants moving onto a group on West 42nd Street in Manhattan around 8:30 p.m. Saturday, the New York Post reported. The suspects were then seen kicking the police officers and running away, and were quickly arrested. The NYPD confirmed to FOX News Digital that the suspects are Darwin Andres Gomez Izquiel, 19, Kelvin Cervat Arocha, 19, Wilson Juarez, 21, and Joan Boada. (22 years old) and Yeoman Rebellon (24 years old).
They were all charged with assault and released without bail, officials said. The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office told FOX News Digital that an investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Boada, who was released from police custody on Thursday, grinned as he passed reporters and photographers outside the Midtown South Police Station in Manhattan, giving news cameras the middle finger with both hands. He left the station wearing a black Los Angeles Lakers shirt and khakis. He has a tattoo on his left forearm.
