Graham Hancock Is Back With Epic Trailer For Second Season Of ‘Ancient Apocalypse: The Americas’ With Keanu Reeves

Netflix dropped the trailer Wednesday for the upcoming second season of Graham Hancock’s epic “Ancient Apocalypse.”

In this next spate of episodes, Hancock takes us on a deeper journey into the Americas “in search of a prehistoric society whose ancient knowledge has been passed down and spread across the continents,” so says the trailer description. While I may or may not have heard something like this was in the works, I didn’t realize we’d be seeing it so soon and in such gorgeous fashion.

Hancock’s first season of “Ancient Apocalypse” changed the world, awakening a growing demographic of all-forms Earth and environmental scientists (like me) to join his mission to greater understand the depths of human history. Exploring ancient sites like Turkey’s Gobekli Tepe and the ancient Pyramid at Gunung Padang, it’s hard to dismiss the borderline obviousness of a civilization of advanced technological capabilities that likely thrived before the Younger Dryas.

In the second season, Hancock is joined by a whole host of experts and movie superstar, Keanu Reeves. Why? Well, the experts help explain the science and Keanu Reeves can do whatever he likes.

With a sharp focus on ancient America, the upcoming series looks absolutely amazing. There’s no doubt in my mind that it’ll receive the same extremely warm response as season one from regular people who have open minds. I hope Big Archaeology grows up and gets on the bandwagon of data suggesting there’s a lot more to our past than they’ve been willing to admit up until now. Sadly, Big Archaeology is made up of some of the most ignorant people on the face of the planet, so I guess we’ll also have to hope they’ll prove me wrong.

“Ancient Apocalypse: the Americas” hits Netflix on Oct. 16.
