Graham Criticizes Jack Smith Over Communications Access
Senator Lindsey Graham, a Republican from South Carolina, strongly condemned former special counsel Jack Smith following news that investigators accessed private communications of several Republican Congress members during the January 6 inquiry. Graham stated that those involved “must pay a hefty price” for their actions.
“We’re not going to let this go…” Graham emphasized during an interview with Trey Gordy on “Sunday Night in America.” He believes Smith violated the law by scrutinizing his and other senators’ phone records and insisted that accountability is necessary for those responsible.

The South Carolina senator accused Smith of politicizing the investigation and pledged to use all available means to uncover the truth. “If a lawsuit is necessary to stop this in the future, we will file a lawsuit,” he stated, expressing concern over the implications of having his communications monitored while performing his duties as a senator.
Republican Senators Seek Clarity from FBI
Graham’s remarks followed allegations that Smith tracked private communications of multiple Republican representatives as part of the investigation into the Capitol riots that occurred on January 6, 2021. Reports indicate that Graham, along with other Senators like Marsha Blackburn, Ron Johnson, Josh Hawley, Cynthia Lummis, Bill Hagerty, Dan Sullivan, Tommy Tuberville, and Mike Kelly, was under surveillance, as noted in documents reviewed by Fox News Digital.
Graham voiced concern that the executive branch monitoring his calls undermines the principle of separation of powers. Attempts to reach Smith for a comment were unsuccessful.
