A Michigan grandmother allegedly helped her granddaughter beat an elementary school girl, police say. Her grandmother reportedly snuck into the elementary school and fought with students inside the bathroom.
The unnamed woman was arrested on April 18, and her grandmother was taken to the Genesee County Jail. Her grandmother’s name has not been released pending arraignment.
The grandmother and granddaughter were dropped off at McMonagle Elementary School on Thursday.
Mount Morris Township Police Chief Michael Veitch said the two were reported to the school for participating in an improper gathering.

Beach said the grandmother saw her granddaughter with a young girl who was having trouble. The couple reportedly followed the girl into the bathroom.
The grandmother held the girl down and her granddaughter punched her, Veach said.
The Mount Morris Township Police Department immediately began investigating the suspect for assault.
“It is important to emphasize that no other children at the school were involved or harmed in this incident,” Bransford said.
“The safety and security of our students is our top priority. Our school administrators are diligently implementing all necessary measures to prevent security breaches like this in the future,” Bransford said. continued. “We are actively working with the Mount Morris Township Police Department to implement safety measures to protect the health of our students and prevent similar incidents from occurring.”
