New Details in Pennsylvania Family Murders Case
Recent information suggests a possible premeditated plan behind the tragic family murders at Great Wolf Lodge in Pennsylvania, as stated by a private investigator.
Metallica Rose Harrison, 27, is facing serious charges—specifically, two counts of criminal homicide. Prosecutors allege she stabbed her husband, Charles “Chaz” Harrison, and their 3-year-old son, Tristan, at the resort located in the Poconos.
According to a criminal complaint, the knives discovered by investigators do not belong to the lodge itself. It states that “Both knives had teal green handles, which Great Wolf Lodge staff confirmed was not a type kept by the lodge.”
The family confirmed that autopsies for both victims have been conducted. Authorities found Chaz and Tristan murdered in their hotel room at the lodge on a Monday.
Interestingly, Harrison’s stepmother indicated to Fox News Digital that there might have been a depletion of the family’s 401(k) account prior to their expensive three-week stay at the resort.
The Harrison family resided in a modest house in Towanda, Pennsylvania, which is situated about 100 miles northwest of the lodge.
Private investigator Rod Devine expressed curiosity about why the family chose that particular lodge when there are many available between their home and the resort. He noted, “There’s a lot of moving parts here that the investigators will be looking at.”
Drawing from his experience with convicted criminals and homicide suspects, he indicated that the details surrounding the drained retirement account, the manner of the killings, and the likely use of murder weapons brought from home might suggest some level of premeditation.
He remarked, “From the cursory file that we can look at, it looks like there are certain elements that are already met.”
Further complicating matters, reports indicate that Harrison might have harbored resentment toward her son, as she purportedly wanted more alone time with her husband. Family members claimed to investigators that she had been controlling and had isolated them from her husband’s family for the past three years.
As the investigation continues, Chaz’s family now faces the reality of their loss. His sister wrote on a GoFundMe page, reflecting on her brother’s love for his wife and child, stating that it ultimately led to their tragic end.
Metallica Harrison remains in a Monroe County jail, with a court date set for October 21.
