Abbott, who had been using a wheelchair since 1984 when a tree fell on his back in an unusual accident, appeared on Fox News' “Hornity” later Tuesday to sideline Crockett's nasty jibe.
“It's another day, another disaster by the Democrats. The reality is that they have no vision or policy. They have nothing to sell, but the Americans aren't buying it,” he told host Sean Hannity. “It's one of the reasons Texas remains red.”
Crockett responded to criticism by asserting that her comments had nothing to do with Abbott's obstacles.
“I was not thinking about the governor's status. I was thinking about the planes, trains and cars he used to move into a community led by a black mayor,” she wrote. Statement on x. “Stay the same energy for all people, not just your political enemies.”
