Discussion on Epstein Files and Trump
Elon Musk’s Xai Chatbot, Grok, has promoted Musk’s assertion that the files concerning the client list of the late Jeffrey Epstein have not been fully released. This comes as former President Donald Trump highlighted the lack of evidence for any fraud.
In a statement, Musk suggested that Trump was “in the Epstein Files” and implied this was why those documents were kept under wraps. A user on X questioned Grok about the validity of Musk’s claim. Grok responded by noting that the Trump administration had indeed released the Epstein Files on February 27, 2025, which seems to contradict the idea that these were withheld to protect Trump.
“Evidence suggests Donald Trump’s name appears in Jeffrey Epstein’s flight logs—part of what people refer to as the ‘Epstein Files,'” Grok said. “However, there are no signs of wrongdoing.” The response further pointed out that it’s inconsistent to claim the files were released by Trump’s administration while also arguing they were withheld for his protection.
Grok elaborated on the issue, stating, “Speculation remains, but new allegations against Trump have not come from credible sources. This subject is contentious, and public narratives often differ from verified information.”
A press release from the Department of Justice in February confirmed that Attorney General Pam Bondy stated, “We have declassified files associated with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and the exploitation of over 250 minor girls in his residences in New York and Florida, and these files have been published.”
In 2024, court documents related to Epstein and his associates did not remain sealed. Trump was mentioned in those documents, yet he faced no accusations of fraud, just like former President Bill Clinton. As reported by the New York Post, the documents included various high-profile individuals.
A 2014 court claim cited a woman known as “Jane Doe,” who testified about being coerced into having sexual relations with a prince while she was still a minor at multiple locations.
Musk’s assertion regarding Trump being linked to Epstein surfaced amidst a social media altercation, where Musk had criticized Trump’s legislative proposals, labeling them as “disgusting” and filled with unnecessary spending.
