The Women PAC, a group dedicated to inaugurating Republican women, won the first house and Senate support on Monday.
In the Senate, the group supports Prime Minister Ashley Moody (R-FLA.), Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) and Susan Collins (R-Main). Meanwhile, the group has thrown support behind Young Kim (R-Calif), Mariannett Miller Meek (R-Iowa) and Jen Kiggan (R-Va.).
The hill was the first outlet to report support.
The nonpartisan cook’s political report rated Miller Meek’s race as throwing at him, but Kigugan and Kim’s races are considered “lean Republicans.” Collins’ re-elected bid is labelled “Lean Republican” by Cook.
Since 2020, the Political Action Group has invested $20 million to support Republican women facing competitive primary and general election races.
“Early financial support is important, especially in close-knowing races,” said Danielle Barrow, president of Women for Women PAC, in a statement. “Given the narrow control of Republicans’ Congress, we announce early support than ever before, ensuring we retain and expand our majority.
Currently, 10 Republican women are serving in the Senate, while 31 serve in the House.
