Guests can tour the underground tunnels of Milestii Mici, the largest wine cellar in the world

The world's largest wine collection is located in Moldova, with millions of bottles stored in the underground tunnels of Milestij Mici.

Milesti Mici has the same name as the city in which it is located. It is the largest wine cellar in the world, measured by the number of bottles it contains. Milesti Mici was recognized by the Guinness World Records in 2007. Milesti Mici's “Golden Collection” contains around 1.5 million bottles of wine, with the oldest wine dating back to 1969.

According to the Milesti Mici website, the wines in the “Golden Collection” include “Pinot,” “Traminer,” “Muscat,” “Riesling,” “Feteasca,” “Dnestrovskoye,” “Mirestskoye,” “Kodur,” “Trandafilur Moldovei,” “Auriu” and “Cahors Chumai,” and are full of delicious flavors of vanilla, cherry and blackberry.

Milesti Mici wines are enjoyed not only by visitors to the underground tunnels and people in Moldova, but also overseas, and are exported to countries such as Japan, the United States, Finland, Greece, Taiwan, and Malaysia.

The Milestij Mici underground tunnels are ideal for storing wine. They were excavated into limestone blocks for the construction of the city of Chisinau, Moldova's capital, and later converted into wine cellars in 1969.

According to the Milesti Michi website, temperatures inside the underground tunnels are always in the mid-50s Fahrenheit, and humidity levels are consistently high, around 85-95 percent.
