Gun ownership rates among Republican women have skyrocketed in recent years, according to a new study.
Since 2019, 33% of Republican women own warm clothing, according to a recent Gallup poll. This is up from 22% who said they owned a firearm from 2013 to 2018 and 19% who said they owned a gun from 2007 to 2012.

Gun ownership among Democratic men has fallen significantly in recent years, from 36% from 2007 to 2012 to just 29% from 2019 to 2024.
In recent years, 39% of independent men own guns, a decrease of 4% from 2013 to 2018.
The number of independent women remains stable at around 18%.
Overall, 43% of men who currently belong to political parties own guns, compared to just 20% of women.
The average gun ownership rate among Americans currently stands at 31%, up 2% from 2013 to 2018 and 1% over the previous six years.
