Former President Joe Biden's Office to Prevent Gun Violence has been removed from President Trump's White House website.
For this reason, some believe that the agency may have been disbanded.

Just hours after being sworn into office, the Trump administration appears to have disbanded the first-ever White House Gun Violence Prevention Office. The move is not surprising given President Trump's well-documented allegiance to the gun lobby, but it maintains the progress we've made on gun safety over the past decade. It is a harsh reminder that we must do everything in our power to do so.
While gun regulators lamented the apparent removal of the Gun Violence Prevention Agency's website, Second Amendment advocacy groups like Gun Owners of America (GOA) applauded the move. .
GOA posted:
Speaking at the NRA convention in Dallas on May 18, 2024, President Trump said, “Without question, the survival of the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution is highly contested on the ballot. Under siege.'' ”
He added, “We need the Second Amendment for safety. Forget about going hunting and all the other things you do. We need it for safety. Because they know they won't let go. Bad guys won't let go of their guns.”
