Guns N’ Roses rocker Slash shares ‘devastating loss’ of stepdaughter

Guns N’ Roses rock singer Slash announced the sad news that his 25-year-old stepdaughter Lucy Blue Knight died suddenly on Friday.

The legendary guitarist shared the information on his Instagram page.

“Lucy Blue Knight (born December 6, 1998), beloved daughter of Megan Hodges and Mark Knight, step-daughter of Samantha Summers Knight and Slash, sister of Scarlett Knight and sister-in-law of London and Cash Hudson, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2024 in Los Angeles, California,” he wrote.

He continued, “Lucy Blue was an incredibly talented artist, a passionate dreamer, charming, lovely and kind-hearted.”

Slash’s statement concluded, “The family requests that you respect their privacy at this time and keep speculation on social media to a minimum as they grieve this tragic loss.”

Fox News Digital reached out to a representative for Slash, who was born Saul Hudson, for comment but did not immediately receive a response.

The coroner’s office said Knight died at a private residence, but the cause of death has not been determined and an examination is scheduled.

Prior to the news of Knight’s death, Slash posted: HIS SERPENT TOUR Due to “unforeseen circumstances,” the band was forced to cancel some shows in Ohio and Michigan this week.

“We love our fans and we apologize for any inconvenience this has caused,” he wrote, adding that refunds would be available for the canceled dates and that the tour would resume in Toronto on July 28.

Slash is in a relationship with Knight’s mother, Megan Hodges. Rolling Stone, The pair began dating in 1989 but broke up before rekindling their romance in 2015.

Hodges is survived by Knight and his sister Scarlett. Slash had two sons, London and Cash, with ex-wife Perla Ferrer, and his former partner Mark Knight, who later married producer Samantha Summers.

Slash posted the message on his Instagram, which Hodges also shared on his own account.

“I’m sorry if I alienated you, manipulated or controlled you, told you to quit your day job because I felt safe knowing my parents were financially supporting you, or drowned out real issues with toxic positivity,” Knight captioned a photo of her. “I’ve missed out on countless opportunities and connections because of my disgustingly large ego, insecure heart and fear of being vulnerable. May my soul learn to evolve from my poor job as Lucy Blue. Peace.”
