Gwyneth Paltrow is opening Goop Kitchen in New York City

Gwyneth Paltrow is set to make a return to her New York roots with the opening of the first of several Goop Kitchen locations in Manhattan later this month.

The actress, who spent her early years in Los Angeles but attended the prestigious Spence School in New York, will officially open a restaurant in Midtown West on Monday.

Committed to sustainability, the restaurant plans to offer “100 percent recyclable” packaging and a focus on locally sourced ingredients.

Though fans might hope for a chance to see her serving customers, Paltrow won’t be waiting tables. Instead, Goop Kitchen will operate through “ghost kitchens,” focusing solely on delivery orders.

Currently, there are ongoing construction efforts for additional locations in areas like Flatiron, the Upper West and East Sides, and Williamsburg.

A spokesperson for Goop Kitchen remarked, “We aim to reach most of Manhattan and parts of Brooklyn by year-end.”

This expansion follows the success of Goop Kitchen in California, where it has established 11 locations in Los Angeles and three in San Francisco.

The menu promises an array of healthy and gluten-free dishes, featuring items like fresh salads, bowls, pizzas, pastas, wraps, soups, and a selection of desserts such as maple pumpkin bread and cookies.

Among the seasonal offerings is a vibrant salad with asparagus, goat cheese, snap peas, and more, along with a salmon bowl made with organic brown rice and a blueberry lemon olive oil cake.

The restaurant already boasts a following from health-conscious West Coast celebrities who enjoy having nutritious meals available with little prep work, including Cameron Diaz and Zac Efron. Top chef Kim Floresca, known for her work at renowned restaurants, will oversee the kitchen.

While neither Paltrow nor Goop Kitchen CEO Donald Moore provided comments, it’s expected that several notable New Yorkers will support the launch.

In another culinary-related effort, Citymeals on Wheels recently raised significant funds to continue delivering meals to New York’s senior population. They provided over 2.2 million meals to more than 22,000 elderly residents last year. A recent gala at the well-known Daniel restaurant raised over $1.3 million aimed at providing 130,000 meals.

Celebrated chefs like Daniel Boulud and Alain Ducasse attended the event, emphasizing the spirit of generosity in cooking. Boulud expressed gratitude to fellow chefs supporting the cause, highlighting food as a means of connection.

Meanwhile, the Yad Vashem United States Foundation hosted a “Sip and Listen” series in NYC coffee shops, where Holocaust survivors shared their experiences in an effort to honor Jewish Holocaust Remembrance Day.

The initiative, which aims to personalize the dialogue around memory and history, will expand to other cities next year.

In a unique culinary experience, private chef Andrew Molen will host guests for a “Godfather” dinner, featuring actor Gianni Russo, who played Carlo Rizzi in the classic film. Attendees will enjoy Italian dishes while Russo shares anecdotes about his experiences in Hollywood, with a starting reservation price set at $8,000 for a group of 25.

Lastly, chef Vikas Khanna has earned recognition as one of TIME100’s Most Influential People of 2026. Despite facing adversity, he has been dedicated to humanitarian efforts and has gained acclaim for both his culinary and literary work.
