Gwyneth Paltrow’s luxurious Los Angeles mansion has gone on sale for a whopping $29.99 million.
The Goop founder’s six-bedroom, 8,000-square-foot mansion sits on a two-thirds acre lot in Mandeville Canyon, a secluded celebrity haven that forms part of the Brentwood neighborhood.
Paltrow, 51, bought the home with her ex-husband, Coldplay’s Chris Martin, in 2012 for $9.95 million, according to property records obtained by a real estate agency. The Wall Street Journal.
The single-story home was built in the 1950s and completely renovated shortly before Paltrow-Martin moved in.
Since then, the Oscar winner has added a guest house, a wine cellar, an office, a gym and a movie theater.
Photos show that the bright and airy home features a living room with vaulted ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook a gorgeous private garden.
Meanwhile, the home’s oversized marble kitchen, where Paltrow is frequently photographed cooking, is equipped with dual stovetops and a wood-burning oven.
Hip-hop star Kendrick Lamar recently purchased the house next door for more than $40 million.
Real estate agent Lee Porter told The Wall Street Journal that Paltrow is selling the home because her children are due to move out in the fall.
The Oscar winner’s son, Moses, 18, will be attending Brown University, and his daughter, Apple, 20, is a sophomore at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.
Paltrow used the home as her primary residence while raising her two children, before separating from Martin in 2014.
She later married producer Brad Falchuk in 2018, and he also moved into the house.
Paltrow will currently split her time between her homes in Montecito, California, and Amagansett in the Hamptons.
The blonde beauty became one of the most popular actresses of the 1990s, winning an Academy Award for her performance in the 1999 film Shakespeare in Love.
She started her blog, “Goop,” in 2008, and since then, it has grown into a huge lifestyle brand worth over $250 million.
