Gwyneth Paltrow reflects on what she ‘let go of’ in 2024: ‘Some people who were not right for me’

Gwyneth Paltrow looks back at what she's “let go of” in 2024 and reveals her goals for next year.

On Sunday, the 52-year-old actress and Goop founder uploaded an Instagram post featuring a video and photo slideshow detailing everything she left unfinished in the past year and outlined her goals for 2025.

In the caption, Paltrow shared a passage from her Goop newsletter, writing, “A friend taught me numerology and I found out I'm in my 9th year, the year of completion and ending. Very I learned some powerful lessons.” This year, after getting through some things, I went through a lot of breakups.

she continued. “My numerologist explained this whole situation to me, but this year has been a year of learning to understand that it's an ending year. And that ending can sometimes be really painful and a huge I learned that it involves change and readjustment.”

“I have deeply learned to loosen my attachment to things and let go, and understand that everything is always happening for my highest good, even if it is very unpleasant.” I was able to do that.”

The “Shakespeare in Love” star kicked off the merry-go-round with a video of her walking down the street wearing a blue and white short-sleeved dress and sunglasses with a bright smile on her face. The words “This year, I let go of…'' were engraved on the clip.

The next eight photos in Patrow's post each feature one item she gave away last year.

The first image showed Paltrow enjoying dinner at a restaurant with her daughter Apple Martin, 20, and son Moses Martin, 18. Paltrow shares Apple and Moses with ex-husband Chris Martin. She wrote on the photo, “A stage in life where everyone is always under one roof.”

This year, the actress became an empty nester as Moses went off to college.

Paltrow then posted a photo taken inside her home, noting that she had left “our home” behind. In June, the Oscar winner listed his six-bedroom home in Los Angeles' Brentwood neighborhood for $29.99 million.

In an Instagram post, she shared another snapshot depicting birds, flowers and butterflies and wrote, “My very dear colleagues.”

In the fourth image, she is seen lying on the floor next to her German shepherd, Nero. She captioned the photo with “dog” and a heartbroken emoji.

Paltrow then included a short clip of her backyard at night and wrote, “Los Angeles.” Paltrow and her husband Brad Falchuk decided to: sell a house in los angeles It wasn't until her children moved out and they finished building a house in Montecito, California.

While watching the floating cloud video, Paltrow wrote that she was trying to let go of “some people who aren't right for me.”

Paltrow said in the fireplace photo that she was trying to let go of “the idea that I can correct misconceptions.” The final image depicts a rural scene, in which she writes that she is trying to let go of “beliefs that limit me,” adding, “(Okay, I'm still working on it).”

Paltrow then changed her post to include videos and photos showcasing her New Year's resolutions. She began with a video of herself walking and wrote, “In 2025…”

The actress included a video of a fountain with the words “Index Freedom and Expansion” written on it. She then posted a photo of herself in a sauna and said her goal was to “feel good.”

She shared a mirror selfie in a white Goop T-shirt and black leather shorts, writing, “Give everything I can at work (2024 was our best year ever, And more to come),” he was seen writing.

On a photo of a cliff overlooking the ocean, there was an inscription that read, “May we continue to have tough conversations.'' In the Bridge Over the River video, she wrote that she wanted to “continually reevaluate everything.”

Paltrow illustrated her goal of “seeing things in a new way (i.e., becoming aware of your own biases)” with an image of herself staring at fruit hanging from a tree.

The slideshow of the actress ended with a photo of her sitting at a table wearing a beige dress with blue and tan sleeves, her hand on her hat. She lifted her cocktail, smiled for the camera, and wrote that her end goal was to “surprise myself.”
