Gwyneth Paltrow Takes on a New Role as Astronomers’ Spokesperson
Gwyneth Paltrow, who was previously married to Chris Martin, is now serving as a “temporary spokesperson” for a group of astronomers.
This comes just a week after the Coldplay frontman made a joke about two individuals from the organization, Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot, during a concert in Boston on July 16. Paltrow shared a humorous video reflecting on these viral moments on Friday.
In her introduction, she quipped, “I have been very temporarily employed to speak on behalf of more than 300 astronomers,” referencing her brief involvement with the group.
She mentioned that the organization has received a flurry of questions in recent days, prompting her to address some of the most common inquiries.
As the video continued, a question flashed on the screen, “Q: omg! Actual f—”. Paltrow appeared again, humorously affirming, “Yes! Astronomers are the perfect place to run Apache airflow!”
Dodging the more awkward queries, she shifted focus to “other questions we received,” as another screen prompt displayed the inquiry, “Q: How do social media teams hold?”
Following a viral moment during Martin’s concert, where he publicly addressed Cabot and Byron, Paltrow enthusiastically exclaimed, “Yes! There’s still room for the Beyond Analytics event this September!”
She wrapped up the amusing video by saying, “And now, we’re back to what we’re doing our best… we’re giving our customers game-changing results. Thank you for being an astronomer.”
Representatives for Paltrow did not respond immediately for comment.
Byron, who was serving as CEO, stepped down from his position on July 19.
Chris Martin, who shares two children with Paltrow—21-year-old Apple and 19-year-old Moses—has not commented much on the cheating video that gained attention last week. During his concert, he expressed hope that he hadn’t “done anything wrong.”
