Social media spoke to Van Lis.

“It’s a funeral, baby. It’s a college funeral,” she said of her clothes.

Van Liss was drafted following his final college season at TCU. She helped lead the Horn Frog into the Big 12 Championship before losing in the Elite 8. It was the first time the program ever made it in the NCAA Women’s Tournament.

Van Lis went viral before the season ended when she spoke at length about her mental health.

“The way I was exposed to media and social media at such a young age has really struggled with mental health,” she said. Sports illustration included. “When I was young and in college, I was committing suicide, I took my medicine so badly and felt trapped.
