Haley calls for ‘diminished’ Biden, Trump to take mental acuity tests

Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley said Sunday that President Biden and former President Trump should take a mental acuity test to show Americans “whether they’re at the top of their game or not.” He added that there was “no problem” in accepting it. Test yourself.

Haley, a former South Carolina governor and former U.N. ambassador, appeared on CBS’ “Face the Nation” and asked when she plans to take a cognitive test after making mental health a priority for the president in 2024. When asked, he said: election.

“No problem,” Haley replied. “And what I said is, we need to do a mental competency test on people over 75. I don’t mind testing on people over 50.”

Haley said special counsel Robert Hur’s report on Biden’s mishandling of classified documents and her subsequent missteps suggested the president was “in decline.” He said that Haley suggested that Trump suffers from similar memory problems, but offered no specific examples.

“But what happened with Joe Biden this week, and what we’ve seen with Donald Trump, is another example of why we have to face the reality that humans decline as we reach that age.” It’s an example,” she said. “These are the people who are making decisions about national security. They are the people who are making decisions about the future of our economy. We need to know that they are in the best position. .”
