Haley holds 13-point lead over Biden in new head-to-head poll

Nikki Haley has a 13-point lead over President Biden in a hypothetical head-to-head race, according to a new poll, and is the latest candidate to claim she will be a stronger general election candidate than former President Trump in the Republican primary. It became a material.

In a CNN poll conducted by SSRS, 52% of registered voters said they would lean toward voting for Haley if the presidential candidate was chosen between her and Biden. 39% of registered voters said they were likely to vote for Biden.

An average national poll by The Hill and Decision Desk shows Haley leading Biden by 2 percentage points.

Haley has fallen far behind Trump in the race for the Republican nomination after losing to former President Trump in the Iowa caucuses and New Hampshire primary.

An average of polls from Decision Desk Headquarters and The Hill in South Carolina, where the primary will be held later this month, has her trailing Trump by nearly 31 percentage points.

But just because Haley is in the lead doesn’t mean she’s viewed favorably by voters. Only 28% of registered voters said they had a favorable opinion of Haley, compared to 38% for Trump.

Among Republicans and Republican-leaning independents who are registered to vote, when asked who they would like to see win the Republican nomination in the 2024 presidential election, Haley trailed the former president by 51 points. It’s attached. Seventy percent of the group said they wanted Trump to win the nomination, compared to 19% who wanted Haley to win.

The survey also found that 49% of registered voters said they were “likely to vote” for Trump, and 45% said they were “likely to vote” for Biden.

In the same poll, 38% of respondents said they approve of Biden’s “way of doing the job,” while 62% said they disapprove. Also, 34% said the president “deserves to be re-elected,” while 66% disagreed.

The CNN/SSRS poll was conducted from January 25th to 30th with 1,212 respondents and had a margin of sampling error of 3.4 percentage points.

The survey had 983 respondents classified as registered voters, with a sampling error of 3.8 percentage points.

There were also 442 respondents classified as registered Republicans or Republican-leaning independents, with a sampling error of plus or minus 5.6 percentage points.
