Halftime show performer shares thoughts on joining the lineup at Turning Point USA

Brantley Gilbert to Perform at “All American Halftime Show” During Super Bowl LX

Country music artist Brantley Gilbert has been chosen to take the stage during Turning Point USA’s “All American Halftime Show” on Sunday, a performance meant to balance the spotlight on Bad Bunny during Super Bowl LX.

Gilbert is one of four performers at the Turning Point USA event, alongside Kid Rock, Lee Brice, and Gabby Barrett. Since starting his professional career in 2007, he released his first album in 2009.

While he might not be a household name to everyone, Gilbert expressed curiosity about how he would be perceived. He mentioned, “I’m a songwriter who grew up and still lives in Jackson County, Georgia. My initial goal was to fill local theaters nearby and find a way to make a living from writing songs.” He continued, “I have faced challenges, including struggles with addiction, and while I can’t say I’m proud of all my past decisions, I am proud of the choices I’ve made to turn my life around.”

With a mission to uplift others through his music, Gilbert stated, “I hope my story encourages those who find themselves in tough times. I love our country despite its issues. A significant part of my life is dedicated to honoring those who serve and their families. Above all, I’m a dedicated husband and father of three.”

He emphasized his desire to inspire children, noting that it’s been over two decades since a country artist has performed at a Super Bowl halftime show. “This celebration of our 250th anniversary is special. I respect differing opinions, but I’m thrilled to have this opportunity. I can already imagine my kids watching me during halftime of this massive event. Everything I do is for them,” he shared.

Gilbert also mentioned his belief in unity, saying, “The way I treat others is not determined by our differences. ‘United we stand, divided we fall’ is something I hold dear. My hope is that our nation finds a way to remain united.”

Looking ahead to the performance on Sunday, he expressed excitement about sharing a grand show.

According to Turning Point USA, the event will be streamed live on platforms like YouTube, X, and Rumble, as well as other conservative media channels.

The “All American Halftime Show” is set to air on February 8 at around 8 p.m. ET, featuring musical acts including Kid Rock, Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice, and Gabby Barrett.

TPUSA spokesperson Andrew Corbett described the broadcast as a chance for families to enjoy an alternative, immersive, and energetic halftime experience. He added, “This show is meant to celebrate faith, family, and freedom. We’re eager to see the wonderful performance they have in store for millions across the nation.”
