Halle Bailey has been awarded temporary sole physical and legal custody of her son, Harrow, whom she shares with ex-boyfriend DDG, with the next court hearing set for June 4th.
The actress, known for her role in “Little Mermaid,” filed for sole custody of her 16-month-old son, expressing concerns about her ex, Darryl Dwaying Lambrey Jr. She felt the urgency to file as she feared potential violence and was worried others might interfere before she could serve him officially.
According to court documents, Bailey alleged that her ex had physically assaulted her multiple times after their breakup in October 2024. The first reported incident occurred in January when he became verbally aggressive while picking up their son.
Bailey described a situation where DDG pulled her hair, pushed her face against a car handle, and even damaged her teeth. She explained she opted for a ride in his car, fearing for her son’s safety. Following the incident, she documented her injuries, including a photo of missing teeth and bruising, to support her case for a restraining order.
Now, DDG is ordered to remain at least 100 yards away from Bailey and Harrow, and he cannot possess any firearms or contact her directly. Furthermore, Bailey insists he should refrain from using his platform to instigate conflict with her fanbase, stating that he spreads negative narratives which lead to threats against her.
In her own words, she lamented the impact this has on her life, mentioning how DDG’s claims have prompted social media hostility towards her, exacerbating an already difficult situation.
After their ten-month relationship, they welcomed Harrow in December 2023. Recently, Bailey went live on social media with her son, expressing her frustration over not being informed about his actions and the exposure she felt was unfair for her child.
