Hallmark star’s wife dies at 45 after battle with stage 4 gastric cancer

Camila Lowe, wife of distinctive star Brennan Elliott, has passed away. She was 45 years old.

The 49-year-old actor announced in an emotional post he shared on Instagram on Saturday that Row has passed away after a stage 4 battle with stomach cancer.

“There's no easy way to say this, but I know my wife @camilla_row has been praying for her over the past eight years and wanting to be grateful to everyone in the world who has been struggling to not live with #stage4gastriccancer. “My beloved wife #cami passed away this morning at 5:28, I have a soul-breaking, devastated heart,” he continued. “Our baby and I have lost our rock. Not only are my love of life, my soulmate, my best friend and lover, but the strongest and most frightening person I have ever met in my life, and the best mother for her baby.”

“I may only know the pain she endured, but everyone who loves her will ensure that she is in peace without any further pain. You are now in my Queen and Lord!” Elliot wrote the emoji with two prayer hands. “You are free! Heaven is a much better place with you with my love. I am grateful to be the best wife, mother and friend I have ever known.”

“What you did for the #GastricCancer community was immeasurable, but what you did for me as a man will last forever,” the actor added. “For any person you know or knew that your life was blessed for her existence

“I'm always going to be your hot mess! I'll miss you on this plane, but I'll soon become a CU! Thank you for being you!” Elliot concluded.

The “Crossroad Mystery” star, who was a clinical psychologist, married in 2011. The pair shared their son Liam and daughter Luna.

In January, Row shared health updates with her followers on her private Instagram account.

“One day at a time, I know that God has a plan for me,” she wrote. People Magazine. “I am weak and untreated due to a series of surgeries and hospitalizations, but I am grateful for every moment of life.”

In a 2024 interview with Orange Coast Magazine, Row recalled that in 2018 he was first diagnosed with stage 1 stomach cancer. She said the diagnosis occurred after undergoing an endoscopy after “having not left reflux pain in two years.”

“Everyone said they were very lucky to catch it early. All the doctors said, 'We can cure you', so I went directly to the surgery to remove the stomach along with the 47 lymph nodes. ”

After the surgery, Lowe told her that the medical team was unlikely to have cancer recurrence, but the public in her ovaries said she was discovered in 2021 when she underwent a routine CT scan.

“A further testing revealed that it was the origin of stomach cancer later,” she said. “I went from a stage 1 survivor to a stage 4 patient overnight. It was on a lot of processing. A lot of data suggested I had several months to live. But I wasn't ready to die.”

Lowe explained that he initially did not publicly disclose the diagnosis because he “never wanted to affect Elliott's career.”

“But when I was diagnosed with stage 4, I felt a real obligation to be an advocate for other stomach cancer patients,” she said. “And I had to be an advocate for myself.”

“What helped me deal with is giving back to the stomach cancer community – a major support group,” explained Lowe. “You let people know that you have to speak up for yourself and make the information work for you. You'll get a little less cancerous part to know that it's making some difference.”

In April 2022, Elliott spoke for the first time about his wife's cancer battle.

“The people closest to me know that my wife Cami has had several matches with cancer in the past, but now she is embarking on a new journey as a patient with stage IV metastatic stomach cancer,” he wrote in an Instagram post.

“No one thinks I'm brave, stronger, more fearless, even in the face of an ominous opponent who doesn't play fair,” the “unrealistic” actor continued.

“I feel this scary and exposed, as you know I am a very personal person, but if there is hope that her story can help even one person, her cancer experience was not in vain,” Elliot added.
