In celebration of the upcoming release of Happy Gilmore 2, Callaway’s Odyssey Golf is delivering something fans have wished for nearly three decades: a real version of Happy’s Signature Hockey Stick Putter. This very putter was famously used by Adam Sandler’s character to clinch victory in the 1996 comedy classic.
Happy Gilmore 2 premiered on Netflix on July 25th, with Sandler returning as the beloved, grumpy hockey player turned golf sensation.
Plot details remain under wraps, but the sequel is set to bring back familiar characters, including Shooter McGavin, played by Christopher MacDonald, and likely dive into a new wave of golf-related antics. It’s the first proper sequel to one of Sandler’s original films, and fans who grew up quoting lines like “It’s all in the hips” are eagerly awaiting it.
In a nod to the original film’s legacy, Odyssey’s updated hockey stick putter makes an appearance in the sequel. It’s crafted for those who want to swing with a bit of Happy flair. Sporting a 57° loft and a hefty 21-inch grip, this putter offers a little more punch than your typical short game club. While it’s built to channel Happy’s unique slap shot putting technique, it’s worth noting that it’s not exactly tournament-legal (Callaway confirms it’s non-conforming under official golf rules).
But let’s be honest, that probably won’t stop fans from showing it off. The putter features a hot insert that’s the largest Odyssey has ever made, not to mention an extra heel-toe insert for added feel. Plus, it comes with a custom tube sock head cover adorned with “Happy Gilmore” and some classic quotes, including “Tap me.”
And because one nostalgic item isn’t quite enough, Callaway is also releasing a limited edition Chrome Tour Golf Ball that features iconic quotes and hockey-themed designs straight from the film.

Odyssey’s Hockey Stick Putter is set to release on July 25th, matching the debut of Happy Gilmore 2 on Netflix, priced at $499.99. Meanwhile, the limited edition golf ball became available earlier, retailing at $49.99 starting July 11th, in limited supply.
