‘Hard-pressed to find someone dumber’

here we go again.

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) repeatedly criticized Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) on Thursday, attacking her intelligence as she recounted a heated congressional hearing last month.

“Marjorie’s just a little bit slow,” the Texas Democrat told late-night host Jimmy Kimmel when asked about what sparked her infamous spat with Greene.

During a House Oversight Committee hearing in May, Crockett, 43, blasted Greene, 50, a Georgia Republican, after she accused her Democratic colleague of wearing “fake eyelashes,” describing her as “bleach blonde, undersized, masculine-looking.”

The Texas Democrat told Kimmel he was upset that a hearing on whether to move forward with a contempt settlement against Attorney General Merrick Garland, scheduled for 11 a.m., was postponed until 8 p.m. because Republicans were attending former President Donald Trump’s hush money trial in Manhattan.

She said she had become increasingly upset by Greene’s comments about Manhattan Judge Juan Marchan but thought the comments were unrelated to the evening’s business.

“It’s late at night and I’m upset. [I’ve] I’ve been here all day, ready to work, and you guys aren’t here. And you’re still talking about the failed trial. So I had to ask [Greene] “I don’t know if she would have understood, because she’s not that smart,” Crockett said.

Lawmakers are awaiting a decision from Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.), who is “very confused” about whether to remove Greene from the hearing or force an apology. She looked at Greene “head to toe” and wrote down her now-infamous criticisms of the Georgia congresswoman’s appearance.

When Kimmel asked how she thought Greene’s intelligence compared to other senators, Crockett replied, “You’d be hard-pressed to find anyone dumber than Senator Greene.”

“We don’t talk,” she said of her current relationship with Green.

Greene’s office did not respond to The Washington Post’s request for comment.
