Harmeet Dhillon’s Worrying Post Indicates Don Lemon Still Faces Challenges

Don Lemon Calls for Arrests Over Minnesota Church Protests

In a recent video, former CNN host Don Lemon urged the Trump administration to take action against those involved in protests at a church in Minnesota. He expressed his belief that arrests should be made, and a senior official in the administration hinted at support for such measures.

Lemon conveyed a sense of pride in his journalistic role after a judge declined to approve charges against him for documenting anti-deportation protests that disrupted services at Cities Church in St. Paul. He claimed the government should “move forward” with efforts to arrest him, prompting a response from Harmeet Dhillon, the assistant attorney general for civil rights.

On the same day, Attorney General Pam Bondi responded to a video where protester William Kelly threatened to arrest her regarding the incident. Kelly, along with two other activists, faced charges described by the Department of Justice as a conspiracy against the civil rights of churchgoers.

In his footage, Lemon was seen following activists and entering the church before the protest started, where he recorded the commotion as the pastor requested that everyone leave.

“I’m standing proud, and I’m standing tall,” Lemon remarked following the news of the Justice Department’s inability to bring charges against him. He added that he anticipates future efforts against him but remains committed to his journalistic integrity, asserting that the issue is less about justice and more about power dynamics.

In an interview, Vice President JD Vance asserted that the Trump administration is using these church protests to emphasize its dedication to religious freedom. He stated, “If you disrupt a church service, you should be arrested and sent to jail,” emphasizing the need for consequences for those who interfere with legitimate worship.
